BAY CITY, Mich.- The internet is buzzing about the Super Bowl approaching this weekend: which team do you want to win, what will you be eating, and of course which ads are you looking forward to. Well, you now have another advertisement to look forward to as General Motors has just announced Chevrolet will return to the Super Bowl with new ads this year!
Last year the automaker skipped out on Super Bowl advertising citing concerns over the increasing costs of advertising during the big game. And it's easy to see why! This year, advertisers must shell out approximately $4 million for just 30 seconds of commercial space during the Super Bowl, and that's not even including production costs!
Chevrolet returns to the Super Bowl this year on February 2nd with two 60-second commercials that are set to air during the first quarter. GM released the first ad "Romance" featuring the 2015 Chevy Silverado HD to give us all a sneak peek and build anticipation for Chevrolet's return to Super Bowl Sunday advertising. "Romance" demonstrates the Silverado HD's power and capability through witty humor set to the tune of 1975 hit, "You Sexy Thing." But in true Super Bowl fashion, the automaker is keeping the second ad a secret until game time.
