BAY CITY, Mich. -- Summer in the Mitten means a couple of things: water sports, camping, and most importantly CARS! There's no greater feeling as a Michigander than finally getting to pull the cover off of your '57 Chevy and cruising the streets on a warm, sunny day.
In Michigan, our passion for cars runs deep, we put the country on wheels after all! Summertime is our time to show off the result of those long, cold hours spent in the garage over the winter, and the places we do it are at the many great car shows and cruises that happen all around the state! From Graff Bay City, here are 5 Michigan Car Shows and Cruises you need to check out.
1. WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE
Even if you're not into cars, you know the Woodward Dream Cruise. And let's face, you've also been there! In August 1995, the Dream Cruise began as a revival of the glory days of automotive history in the 50s and 60s when "youth, music, and Motor City steel roamed Woodward Avenue, America's first highway." The first Dream Cruise drew a crowd of 250,000 - ten times than expected - and the rest is history.
Today, the Woodward Dream Cruise is the largest single-day automotive event, drawing over 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars each year - even from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, and Japan!

2. DECADE DASH
This one is being held right here in Bay City! For the past seven years, our dealership has hosted an awesome car show that's gotten bigger and better each time. Additionally, our friends at TriToFinish have put on a 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Run. All proceeds from both the car show and runs are going to benefit Just For Kids. And taking place along the Saginaw River with the beautiful Uptown Bay City area as the backdrop, we couldn't ask for a better venue!
