The Tinsel Tree Challenge at Graff Bay City

BAY CITY, Mich. - Support your local schools and help raise money for classrooms by participating in the Tinsel Tree Challenge at Graff Bay City.

Over 35 trees will be decorated during the event and then presented to the public from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, December 12th. Each classroom or school is in charge of decorating the trees to best represent themselves.

Throughout the event, participants can vote for their favorite trees with a $1 voting ticket. All the money from the votes goes towards that classroom. The more votes for each tree means the more money that will directly support the local schools.

 After the voting is done at 3 p.m. there will be an awards ceremony for the trees. This is where your voting helps! After the awards an auction for the trees will begin. All the money from the auction will go to Just For Kids, a program that provides communities with the help they need when government agencies can’t. They provide things like scholarships, special need programs, and student programs.

Come out to the Tinsel Tree Challenge at Graff Bay City to vote for your favorite tree and support your local schools and Just For Kids. There will be a lot more to enjoy at the event as well like food and karaoke! Bring your family and friends.

Bay City Tinsel Tree Challenge Raises $3,000 for Local Schools

BAY CITY, Mich. – It was the first official year for the Tinsel Tree Challenge at Graff Bay City and we are so proud to be able to say it was a total success! We are so thankful to everyone to who participated in the Bay City Tinsel Tree Challenge, raising $3,000 for local schools! We truly couldn't have done it without the help and enthusiasm of so many community members.

Students, teachers, and volunteers from public and private schools throughout Bay City got in the Christmas spirit by decorating over 30 ornate trees in the Graff Bay City showroom. Then as part of the main event, the public was invited to vote for their favorite trees with tickets that could be purchased for $1 each. The best part is that proceeds from every ticket go directly to that school! Not only did each team earn money for their school by encouraging votes, but the Tinsel Tree judges also gave their input on which three trees earned the top spot and an extra $500 for their schools!

In addition, event guests enjoyed festive holiday treats, photos with Santa, and a free photo booth while mingling with neighbors and friends! We can't say thank you enough to everyone who came out to the event and helped the Bay City Tinsel Tree Challenge raise about $3,000 for local schools! It is truly something to see so many people come together to support local education!

Bay City Tinsel Tree Challenge to Support Local Schools

BAY CITY, Mich. – Tis the season to be jolly and give back to those in our community during the Season of Giving at Graff Bay City! This year, to kick off all the festivities, we are super excited to be hosting the second annual Bay City Tinsel Tree Challenge to Support Local Schools! So mark your calendars – our holiday event is just around the corner!

Now is the time to round up your classroom or a team at your school to decorate a tree during the Tinsel Tree Challenge at Hank Graff Chevrolet! Not only will you have fun and kick off the holiday season, but through voting and a raffle during the final celebration, you'll raise money for your school! This year's weekend of festive fun begins Friday, December 12th, with the Christmas tree decorating taking place from 3-6pm. Each team can create their own decorations for the tree or can also ask for supply donations from friends and family. If your team can't make it out to decorate their tree at that time, don't sweat it! Give us a call, and we would be happy to find a time for you to come pick up your tree before December 4th. Then just return your decorated tree by 5:00pm on December 12th. Most importantly, though, don't forget to be creative and have fun!

The fun continues the next day, Saturday, December 13th, with a festive live auction from 10am-3pm. What better way to get in the holiday spirit? The live auction will display all the beautifully decorated trees (from the previous day), each one representing a different school or classroom. Throughout the event make sure to vote for your favorite trees with your $1 voting tickets, and every time you vote, you are automatically entered into the raffle! The more votes for each tree means the more money for your school, so be sure to invite as many people as possible! Plus, don't forget to warm up your singing voice because karaoke starts at 1pm! All the action wraps up at 3pm with the awards ceremony and raffle!

The best part about the whole event is that all of the money raised goes right back into our local schools and classrooms to support our children!
