The 2014 Chevy Stingray is sure to dazzle drivers, as it has a new 7-speed manual transmission and a LT1 V8 engine that produces 455 hp. It will get around 17 mpg in town, and 30 on the highway; this is possible because of the vehicle's Eco mode's Active Fuel Management. This system cuts 4 of the 8 cylinders under light loads, or when cruising down the highway.The Stingray will also go from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds!
With the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray being named the most efficient sports car ever, many of the Corvette's competitors will be racing to follow the Stingray's example. It's important to note that the Corvette's biggest competitor, the Porsche 911, scores around the same mpg rating; however, its engine only produces 400 hp.
