Special Edition Corvette 'Zora'?

Special Edition Corvette 'Zora'?

BAY CITY, Mich. – Zora Arkus-Duntov. He was the father of the Corvette and by adding a V-8 engine to the first generation Corvette, he was able to take the vehicle into sports car territory. He also introduced the Grand Sport program which helped make the second generation Corvette a world class racing success. So why the Corvette history lesson?

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, General Motors has just trademarked the name Zora making us think a special edition Corvette 'Zora' may be on the horizon! Trademarking a name is nothing new. Automakers do it all the time for future models or to protect their history. However, this particular filing is significant because of the wording which states GM will reserve Zora for "motor land vehicles, namely, automobiles."

Although a special edition Corvette 'Zora' has not been confirmed by General Motors, we will keep you updated on all the latest Chevy news right here! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706 and we can help you find the perfect vehicle for your weekend getaway! For more information on Hank Graff Chevrolet, or for any questions call us at (989) 684-4411 or visit our website: www.GraffBayCity.com.

Corvette Stingray Nominated for Performance Car of the Year

Corvette Stingray Nominated for Performance Car of the Year
BAY CITY, Mich.– We're just a few weeks away from the announcement of the World Car of the Year winners at the New York Auto Show, but we're one step closer to a Chevrolet win. The award nominees were officially announced at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, and the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was nominated for World Performance Car of the Year!

The Stingray will represent General Motors in the World Car of the Year Awards since it was the only model to make the final cut in its respective segment. In order to win World Performance Car of the Year, the Corvette Stingray will have to beat out the Porsche 911 GT3 and Ferrari 458 Speciale. And if the Stingray's award history is any indication, there's a good chance it will impress the judges.

Not that you needed any additional convincing to love this year's most awarded vehicle, but now the Corvette Stingray has been nominated for Performance Car of the Year! Stop by today if you're ready to make it the performance car in your garage! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706. Three Corvettes Recovered From Sinkhole

Three Corvettes Recovered From Sinkhole

BAY CITY, Mich.– Remember when news broke last month that a massive 40-ft. sinkhole opened up under the National Corvette Museum, swallowing eight rare Corvettes? How could you forget it, right? As sad as it is to think about those classic Corvettes covered in rubble, we do have some good news to share–three Corvettes were recovered from the sinkhole this week!

This week crews got to work in Bowling Green, KY, uncovering three of the most accessible vehicles from the National Corvette Museum sinkhole. First was a 2009 Corvette ZR1 Blue Devil that only endured minor damage from its 30-ft. fall and was able to start up and drive through the museum doors. The second, a 1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Edition Corvette, sustained quite a bit more damage with broken windows and significant damage to the front and rear. The third car posed more of a challenge for crews since a five-ton slab of concrete from the museum's floor was resting on the front of the 1962 black Corvette, which meant both the car and concrete had to be removed simultaneously. But two cranes got the job done!

Three Corvettes Recovered From Sinkhole
While three Corvettes were recovered from the sinkhole this week, the remaining five will have to remain buried until workers can further stabilize the sinkhole, a process that could take two to three weeks. From there recovery of the remaining vehicles could extend through August 3rd!

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Debut Review

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Debut Review
BAY CITY, Mich.- The North American International Auto Show is just getting started this week and Chevrolet is already making history. The automaker kicked off the auto show by winning the North American Car and Truck of the Year and then followed that with the jaw-dropping 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 debut! It builds on the Corvette Stingray's already impressive features, making it the most capable Corvette ever!

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is officially the most track-capable Corvette in the brand's history thanks to advanced driver technologies and supercar specifications. The car's new supercharged 6.2L engine can be paired with either a seven-speed manual transmission or eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission to pump out at least 625 horsepower! In conjunction with unprecedented levels of aerodynamic downforce and the lightweight construction of a stronger aluminum frame with a removable roof panel, the 2015 Corvette Z06 rivals the most exotic supercars in the world!

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 debut reviews the connection between the track and the street. To develop the most capable Corvette in the brand's history, the automaker took what they learned from the Corvette Racing C6.R and applied it to the Corvette Stingray. The Stingray was then used as a foundation for the Z06 and C7.R, which were developed side by side to stretch the performance envelope. The two new Corvettes even incorporate several of the same features from the Stingray like direct injection, active fuel management, and continuously variable valve timing, while also improving upon other features to boost performance and increase fuel efficiency!

Not only is the new 2015 Corvette Z06 the most capable Corvette, but it's also the most impressive. Stay tuned for more information on every detail of the new supercar, or stop by our Chevrolet Dealership to check out our New Chevrolet Cars and get your performance car fix! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706. To say that Chevy has kicked off the Detroit Auto Show on the right track is an understatement.
