The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu has Made its way to Graff Bay City

The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu has Made its way to Graff Bay City

BAY CITY, Mich. - For months we've written countless blogs on the exciting 2016 Malibu, and now we can finally say that the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu has made its way to Graff Bay City! It's definitely the moment the automotive world has been waiting for, and it is so exciting to be able to see this breathtaking Chevy vehicle in the flesh!

The most exciting feature of the new 2016 Malibu? It's definitely has to be the industry-first Teen Driver safety system. The Teen Driver system is a built-in system that tracks car data which allows parents to actually get an electronic "report card" on how their teen drove. Pretty neat, huh? The system records distance traveled, maximum speed, when the car had to engage stability control and anti-lock breaks, as well as the amount of alerts issued by the safety features. Pretty much, the all new 2016 Chevy Malibu is a parents' best friend, but a teen's worst nightmare. Let's just say if you break the rules in this car, it'll tell your Mom.

The 2016 Malibu is also one of the first vehicles to incorporate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into its infotainment system. These systems turn the 2016 Malibu from just a rolling piece of metal into a rolling robotic assistant that gives directions to nearby restaurants, reads your text messages to you, or play your favorite hits by simply stating "Play Taylor Swift".

The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu has made its way to Graff Bay City, and pricing options have FINALLY been announced. The completely redesigned Chevy Malibu midsize sedan will start out at $22,500. The midrange Malibu LT is priced at $25,895, while the new, top-of-the-line-model is priced at $31,795.

For parents with teens just starting their driving careers, the all-new 2016 Chevy Malibu is the perfect vehicle! Lucky for you parents, we just received a shipment of this all-new sedan. Stop by and check out this Ashen Grey Metallic model (it's definitely our favorite color) and take it for a test-drive! At Graff Bay City we love being able to supply the most technologically advanced Chevy models to our community, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

At Graff Bay City, all of our consultants are friendly and knowledgeable, and will help you choose the best option for you at your local Thomas Township are Chevy dealerHank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706 and we can help you find the perfect vehicle for your weekend getaway!

The interior of the new Equinox has been cleaned up as well thanks to a revised instrument panel "center stack" with a storage capacity and a new control graphic setup greets the driver. The roomy interior seats five comfortably, with a General Motors exclusive MultiFlex sliding rear seat that offers 41.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat and 63.7 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down.

The Chevrolet Cruze Surpasses 3.5 Million In Global Sales

The Chevrolet Cruze Surpasses 3.5 Million In Global Sales

BAY CITY, Mich. - General Motors should take time and really thank the Chevy Cruze for its ultimate long-term recovery, as the Chevrolet Cruze surpasses 3.5 million in global sales. The top-selling Cruze has been a favorite of auto buyers and auto industry insiders alike, so it's no surprise that the Cruze is seeing the amount of success it is. GM's Global Brand Chief stated that, "By consolidating design, engineering and marketing efforts, we were able to produce an award-winning, value-driven sedan that won over customers around the world."

"Around the world." That's what makes the Cruze such a successful automobile. It's a lot more difficult for an American car company to succeed not just here, but globally as well. THAT is how the Chevy Cruze surpasses 3.5 million in global sales, by creating a car the entire planet will love. Currently, the auto world is patiently awaiting the June 24th release of the all-new updated Chevy Cruze, which is expected to hit dealer lots early next year as a 2016 model. The new Cruze will be the fifth Chevy vehicle to be released this year, as it joins forces with the Spark mini car, the redesigned Volt, the brand-news Malibu sedan and, of course, the sixth-generation muscle car: the Camaro.

Currently the Chevy Cruze is an absolute hit with youthful motorists, especially recent college grads, and is the popular segment's second-best seller to drivers younger than 25. Additionally, 35% of those customers are new to Chevy, who sold more than 273,000 Cruze's in the U.S last year.

It is truly exciting that the Chevy Cruze is doing this well globally, and you can bet that Graff Bay City will be keeping you up to date leading up to the June 24th release of the updated Cruze. If you would like a chance to take a test drive with one of the most popular cars on the market today,  swing by and pay us a visit! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706 and we are here to help our community grow to become an even better place to call home! For more information on Hank Graff Chevrolet, or for any questions call us at (989) 684-4411 or visit our website: www.GraffBayCity.com.

Grilling Safety Tips

Grilling Safety Tips

BAY CITY, Mich. - With Memorial Day Weekend just around the corner, summer seems to have FINALLY started, even though it's been a bit chilly recently. Many people across the country will celebrate this holiday with parades, festivals, fairs and spending time with the family which usually involves some sort of BBQ. To ensure everyone at the family BBQ has an AMAZING time, check out these grilling safety tips!

  • If you are using a charcoal grill, keep charcoal fluid away from heat sources and out of reach of pets and children.
  • Both propane and charcoal BBQ grills should ONLY BE USED OUTDOORS. Trust us, don't bring the grills inside.
  • Make sure the grill is away from the home, deck railings and out from under eaves and overhanging branches. The fireworks you want at your family BBQ are the ones you watch under the stars, not around your grill.
  • Make sure to keep your grill clean and free from grease or fat buildup from the grills and in trays below the grill.
  • NEVER leave the grill unattended to.
  • If you are using a propane grill, check the gas tank hose for leaks before the first grill of the season.
  • If you smell gas while cooking, move away from the grill and call the local fire department immediately, don't try moving the grill.

According to the NFPA, the National Fire Protection Association, May is the second highest month for grilling accidents. Each year an average of 8,800 home fires are caused by grilling, and close to 50% of injuries involving grills are due to thermal burns. By following these simple, grilling safety tips your family can have a relax-full weekend! Camaro Gears Up For The Battle Against The Mustang

Camaro Gears Up For The Battle Against The Mustang
BAY CITY, Mich. – Woah! Shots fired as the Camaro gears up for battle against the Mustang. The 2016 Camaro isn’t even going to be revealed until May 16th on Belle Isle, but that doesn’t stop the back and forth between Ford and Chevy in regards to the Camaro vs. the Mustang. Everyone in the automobile community is eager to see what the next-gen Camaro brings to the table, and how it stacks up against its newly revised rival, the Ford Mustang.

Mark Reuss, GM’s President, stated to Fox News; “I’m very confident. Very confident,” in regards to how the new Camaro will compete with the new Mustang. Reuss also explained that he had driven both cars back to back the week prior, and the enhancements left him quite content that Chevy is well equipped in the pony car wars.  Camaro gears up for the battle against the Mustang, and from what we know now the latest Camaro switched from a full-sized Holden developed Zeta platform to the Alpha platform that the Cadillac CTS and ATS ride on. GM has also opted to infuse more aluminum into the next-gen Camaro, resulting in the new model being 200 pounds lighter.

The all-new 2016 Camaro is expected to bring in a 6.2 liter V8, the same engine that powers the Corvette Stingray. The Camaro will hit with 460 horsepower while, the current Mustang’s 5.0-liter V-8 puts out 435 horsepower. It will definitely be the battle of American muscle once the new Camaro comes out, and we CANNOT wait to see it!

If you would like information on the new Camaro, would like to see or test drive our current Camaros, stop by your Frankenmuth area Chevy dealershipHank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706 and we are here to help our community grow to become an even better place to call home! For more information on Hank Graff Chevrolet, or for any questions call us at (989) 684-4411 or visit our website: www.GraffBayCity.com.

Chevy Debuts Two New Concept Trucks

Chevy Debuts Two New Concept Trucks

BAY CITY, Mich.- At this year's State Fair of Texas, Chevrolet explored the extremes of preparedness with two new concept trucks dedicated to volunteer first responders and ultimate survival. Chevy debuted two new concept trucks, the Volunteer Firefighter and the Black Ops Concept, both of which are based on the 2014 Silverado full-size pickup.

With input from the National Volunteer Fire Council, Chevy used the 2014 Silverado full-size pickup to develop the Silverado Z71 Volunteer Firefighter concept truck to honor the service of first responders. To accommodate a complete supply of rescue equipment, Chevrolet utilized the new Silverado Double Cab and added the Z71 Off Road suspension.

Chevy Debuts Two New Concept Trucks
The other concept truck to make its debut, the Black Ops truck, was developed with ultimate survival in mind. Built on the Silverado Crew Cab 4x4, the truck's strength, performance, and safety are all improved to turn a wasteland into an oasis. The sinister-looking concept comes equipped with custom-fabricated lower body armor, a lockable, bed-mounted Truck Vault storage unit, solar power pack, pair of gas masks, gloves, military first aid kit, folding shovel and rope.

SPOTTED: 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z07

SPOTTED: 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z07
BAY CITY, Mich. - While the world eagerly counts down the days until the unveiling of the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it's younger sibling is quietly prowling the streets of Michigan. The 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z07 has been spotted out and about, shielded behind thick, baggy plastic.

SPOTTED: 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z07Not much is known about the seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette just yet, but from these exciting (albeit modest) shots, a few aspects can be speculated on. For example, a sizable vent is visible ahead of each rear wheel opening - this would be for brake cooling. The exhaust outlets also appear to be larger than the Stingray.

As for the powertrain, it's likely that it will come with the Tremec seven-speed manual transmission. It will also most likely be powered by a turbocharged V8 engine. This would mean it will be more fuel efficient while still being able to put out more than 600 horsepower.

SPOTTED: 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z07The spotted 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z07 will unfortunately remain a mystery for awhile longer. However, the 2015 Z06 will make an appearance at the Auto Show this January, and the 2014 Chevy Stingray has arrived. If you'd like to talk about the Chevy Corvette - the new and the classic - we'd be happy to speak with you! Just stop by our Chevrolet Dealership Serving Clio, MI today and we'll go over available options with you.

2014 Chevrolet Sonic Enhances Safety Features

2014 Chevrolet Sonic Enhances Safety Features
BAY CITY, Mich. - Many drivers express doubt over how safe subcompact vehicles can be, simply because of their size. Chevy hears these concerns and that's why the 2014 Chevrolet Sonic now has enhanced safety features. These advanced safety features are designed with your concerns in mind, and installed to help put your mind at ease.

Just a few of the safety features available on the 2014 Chevy Sonic are a rear-vision camera, Forward Collision Alert, and a Lane Departure Warning.  The Forward Collision Alert is a great feature that alerts drivers when they approach another vehicle too quickly. This is especially useful for drivers that are distracted, or for new drivers. The Forward Collision Alert will ding quite loudly, alerting the driver that they need to come to a stop.

The Lane Departure Warning alerts drivers when the vehicle veers from a marked roadway lane without using their blinker. It's a great safety feature that encourages safe driving habits by reminding you to use your blinker when switching lanes. If you have no intention of switching lanes but accidently do so, the feature will warn you.

The rear-vision camera is another useful safety feature on the 2014 Chevy Sonic, as it helps drivers have a clear view of what's going on behind the vehicle. You'll see stationary objects behind your vehicle on the Chevy MyLink's 7-inch digital touch-screen. This allows you to be aware of what's happening all around your vehicle - specifically see what's happening in those pesky blind spots.

If you're still not convinced that the Sonic is safe, even with the 2014 Chevy Sonic enhanced safety features, you'll be pleased to know that the Sonic is the first and only car in the subcompact class to receive a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It was also a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety - all of which help to make it one of Chevy's best-selling vehicles among buyers under 35!

If you'd like to take a look at this safe and reliable vehicle for yourself, stop by our Chevrolet Dealership Serving Clio, MI today! One of our friendly team members would be more than happy to set you up with a test drive, or show you our selection of Used Cars For Sale. Tips to Keep Your Schoolchildren Safe

Tips to Keep Your Schoolchildren Safe
BAY CITY, Mich. - With the school year going strong, school zones are in effect and children are filling the streets as they head to and from class. While many think that predators and bullies are the biggest threat to your child at school, it's actually cars! Due to children being unpredictable pedestrians, vehicles are the biggest threat to your kids safety. To keep your kids safe on their walk to and from school, take a look at a few of our tips to keep your schoolchildren safe.

Children are often walking to and from school 6:30a.m. - 8:30a.m. and 2:30p.m. - 4:30p.m. on weekdays from September to June. It is during this time that drivers should be most vigilant, since kids are unpredictable. While crossing guards help teach children when to cross the road, many still cross between parked cars or dart when the crossing signal says no.

With cars being the biggest threat to schoolchildren, it is necessary to take review some tips to keep your schoolchildren safe so that your child knows how to obey pedestrian laws when walking. First, talk to your kids about using traffic signals and crosswalks. Most injuries happen mid-block (meaning not at a crosswalk), so teach your kids about the importance of using a crosswalk. Also, if there is no sidewalk where they are walking, it is okay to walk facing traffic, as long as they stay as far away from vehicles as possible.

Secondly, teach your kids about looking right and left. This may seem pretty obvious, especially since this is a rule that all parents drill into their children's heads from a young age. However, children now have electronic devices to distract them from their surroundings, making it easy to walk into the street without meaning to do so. So teach your children about looking right and left, and crossing the street without the electronic device to distract them.

Another great tip for crossing the street safely: remind kids to make eye contact with drivers before crossing and to watch out for car that are turning or backing up. Most of all, teach your kids to NEVER dart out into the street or cross between parked cars. This is how most schoolchildren are injured, so warn them about crossing the street where it is not marked as a crossing zone.

While you can only do so much to protect your children when they are out and about, Chevy has a variety of ways to protect your family when they are in the car.  If you'd like to discuss all the safety features available to you, our friendly and informative sales team would be more than happy to go over the details. So stop by our Chevrolet Dealership Serving Caro, MI today and we'll be more than happy to show you our selection of New Chevrolet Cars, New Chevrolet Trucks and Used Chevy Cars For Sale.

5 Steps to a Relaxing Commute

5 Steps to a Relaxing Commute
BAY CITY, Mich. - Millions of Americans spend their morning commuting to work - no matter if you're worrying about what's waiting for you at work, or feeling stressed about what's going on at home, the drive to your workplace can feel dull or troubling. To help you combat the stresses of driving, here are 5 steps to a relaxing commute:

Listen to an audio book. Your commute to and from work is a great time to listen to your favorite book, or become interested in a new one. By getting into a good story, your commute will fly by - not to mention you'll look forward to your next drive so you can continue the story!

Listen to your favorite music and sing along. Did you know that singing loudly and intensely is actually considered an aerobic exercise? It is! So turn up your music and sing along to your favorite songs - you'll feel less stressed and ready to take on the world.

Make your drive a social one. If you live near co-workers, or your friends work near you, ask them if they'd like to ride together! Not only will this help reduce the amount of times you fill up, it will also give you someone to talk and laugh with during the commute.

Prepare the night before. If you pick out your clothes, make your lunch, set the timer on your coffee machine, and have everything ready to go the night before, you won't feel stressed in the morning! Being able to start your day with everything ready and waiting is a great feeling, which means you won't feel as stressed during the commute or left feeling like you forgot something.

Leave early. It can be extremely stressful to be on the way to work when unexpected construction or an accident puts you behind schedule. By leaving a couple minutes early, you'll feel more in control of your morning and less concerned about how late you're going to be to work. Chevy C7 Corvette Might Become a Hybrid Sports Car

Chevy C7 Corvette Might Become Hybrid Sports Car
BAY CITY, Mich. - In a recent interview, GM President Mark Reuss let the world in on a secret - the Chevy C7 Corvette might become a hybrid sports car in the near future. With so many vehicles in the Chevy lineup becoming more efficient, the car company admits that it has been tossing around the idea of a more efficient and environmentally friendly Corvette.

Currently, the standard Stingray comes with a LT1 6.2-liter V8 engine that can produce about 450 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft of torque. The sports car goes from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds and is considered to be the most powerful standard model ever. It can also get about 30 mpg on the highway, making it surprisingly fuel efficient for a sports car with that much power.

The possibility that the Chevy C7 Corvette might become a hybrid sports car would mean that the Corvette would become quieter, more powerful, and be more fuel efficient. While it's currently just a thought, it certainly sparks a lot of debate about what this would mean for the vehicle that is considered to be one of the most iconic American cars of all time.

If you'd like to check out what other hybrid vehicles are currently on our lot, or take a look at the non-hybrid 2014 Chevy Corvette, stop by our Caro Area Chevy Dealer today! We have a great selection of New Chevrolet Cars and New Chevrolet Trucks - both hybrid and not. With such a variety of vehicles, you'll be sure to find something you love.
