Commemorative Edition Hot Wheels Camaro Announced

BAY CITY, Mich. – Did you ever play with Hot Wheels when you were a kid? Ever wished that you could get behind the wheel of a life-sized version of one? Well, now you can! Chevrolet announced a Commemorative Edition Hot Wheels Camaro this month, celebrating 50 years of partnership in performance, innovation, and design. This cutting-edge Special Edition vehicle, which will be released in the spring of 2018, will feature the iconic Crush orange exterior and stripes that pay tribute to the famous Hot Wheels Camaro of the 1960s. This strikingly bold coupe will feature a distinctive design that enhances the Camaro's responsiveness and refinement. This new design takes note of the old Hot Wheels toy design, using wide wheels and low-friction axles to help the Camaro become one of the fastest cars on and off the racetrack. The new Commemorative Edition Hot Wheels Camaro package will be available on the 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible models of the 2018 Chevy Camaro with the following features:

• Illuminated doorsill plates with 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels logos and badges
• Embossed front-seat headrests
• Dark taillamps
• Black taillamp panels with Hot Wheels emblems
• Orange kneepads on doors and orange safety belts
• Black Chevrolet bowtie emblems
• Carpeted floor mats with orange stitching and "ghost" stripes
• 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels fender badges
• One-of-a-kind grille with Galvano Chrome inserts
• 20-inch forged aluminum wheels in Satin Graphite with milled faces and center caps
• Satin Graphite ground effects
• Satin Graphite stripes with Silver Ice Metallic accents
• Orange brake calipers

Hot Wheels Special Edition 2013 Chevy Camaro SS

That is why it has paired up with the toy maker to create a Hot Wheels Special Edition 2013 Chevy Camaro SS. The Hot Wheels Special Edition options package will set you back about $6,995 when you order your Camaro 2LT (V6) or 2SS (V8) coupe or convertible. On top of all the great features that come standard with the Chevy Camaro, the package includes Kinetic Blue metallic paint; 21-inch black aluminum wheels with slick red striping; Hot Wheels badging, embroidery and decals; premium floor mats and a painted engine cover.
