Graff Bay City Gives Back to The BaySail Appledore Schooners this August

BAY CITY, Mich. –– At Graff Chevrolet Bay City, we work hard to provide excellent service to the Bay County area and to give back to it as well! This August is no different. Graff Bay City gives back to the BaySail Appledore Schooners this August. For every vehicle sold we will donate $10 and for every service transaction we will donate $0.25 to The BaySail Appledore Schooners as part of our Graff Gives Back campaign.

BaySail owns and operates the Appledore Schooners, which are the famous tall ships we all associate with our hometown of Bay City, Michigan. The organization's goal is to foster environmental stewardship of the Saginaw Bay Watershed and the Great Lakes ecosystem and to provide personal development opportunities for learners of all ages. Together with our help, the Appledore Schooners and BaySail can continue to help minds learn and grow through their tall ships with events like Science Under Sail, an engaging environmental science program for K-12 student groups.

When you purchase or service your vehicle, Graff Bay City will give back to the BaySail Applecore Schooners this August. We will donate $10 to the organization for every vehicle purchased and $0.25 for every vehicle serviced. Fourth Annual PJ’s for Preemies Clothing Drive

The 4^th annual PJ’s for Preemies clothing drive is accepting donations of clothing for premature newborns going to the Covenant Health Care Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Saginaw. The clothes must snap or button in the front ONLY. Please no zippers, this is in order to allow for wires and tubes. Also being accepted in addition to pajamas are sleep sacks (most sleep sacks have zippers and that is acceptable). PJ’s for Preemies will accept new or like new preemie and newborn clothing (sizes preemie through 3 months).

PJ’s for Preemies was founded in 2008 when Christi, a new mother of a premature baby, and employee of Graff Bay City Chevrolet, noticed that the hospital didn’t have clothes that were suitable for the babies in the NICU.  Realizing how her own experience could have been more normalized with a simple addition of clothing that fit her child; she started PJ’s for Preemies.

Now in it’s fourth year PJ’s for Preemies has grown to include nine area businesses and the support of many generous donations! We are proud of all the hard work that Christie has put in, and how she has made PJ’s for Preemies grow in such a short time! However, there is still work that needs to be done, and your help is greatly appreciated.  All you need to do is take your donation to any of the following area businesses: Graff Chevrolet, Prime Brothers Furniture, Maier & Associates, Verizon wireless, Lil Muffins, Sweet Peach Baby Boutique and Stock Pot all in Bay City, and Magic Bean Café and Garber Buick in Saginaw.
