Chocolate Dipped Peeps
You'll need:
1-2 packages of Peeps
1 package white or chocolate candy melts
Sprinkles

Who doesn't love Peeps? They're a classic Easter treat! But have you ever thought about taking them to the next level? Throw your candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and begin to melt them in 30 second increments, stirring in between each session. Once melted, you can begin dipping the bottom half of your Peeps in the chocolate then allow them to set on wax paper. However, if you want to add sprinkles, make sure you add them before the chocolate sets!

All you have to do is spread out your pretzels, popcorn and Chex cereal on a sheet of parchment paper and then drizzle them with the melted chocolate, making sure to mix it all together so the chocolate is evenly distributed. Egg Nests
You'll need:
1 package chocolate candy melts
2 cups pretzel sticks, broken up
Spring M&M's or speckled eggs

What's better than the springtime sound of birds chirping? This spring treat channels that positive feeling! Use the 30 second interval microwave method mentioned above (or a double broiler if you want to get fancy) to melt your chocolate. Then stir in your broken up pretzels, evenly coating them all. Spread out some parchment paper and begin to form little nests out of the chocolate-covered pretzels. Once they have completely set, top with your "eggs"!

10oz mini marshmallows
1/4 cup butter
1 bag chocolate candy melts

Egg-shaped cookie cutter

Last but not least, if ooey-gooey sweetness is your weakness, then don't waste another minute before mixing up these Easter eggs! Make a batch of Rice Krispie Treats and then go to town with your cookie cutter! Chevrolet Silverado & Equinox Showcased at Comerica Park

Chevrolet Silverado & Equinox Showcased at Comerica Park

BAY CITY, Mich. — Today is Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers in Detroit and along side the game, baseball fanatics will be able to enjoy the presence of two beautiful Chevy vehicles showcased at Comerica Park for the 2014 season! A Blue Topaz Chevrolet Silverado and a Crystal Red Metallic Chevy Equinox made their way to the top of the Chevrolet Fountain just behind centerfield in Comerica Park last Thursday, March 27th.

Chevrolet is the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball and it only makes sense that the Silverado and Equinox put their gears into park right at their hometown stadium. With the assistance of a massive crane, it took about three hours to get these gems in place atop the Chevrolet Fountain. Not only does Chevy sponsor the well-known fountain at Comerica Park, but each year they select their most prominent vehicles from their lineup to showcase throughout the season. With the help of over 3 million spectators in the stands and at home, maybe the full-size pickup and small SUV will act as good luck charms for the Tigers, inspiring them to knock it out of the park!

At the end of the 2014 baseball season, the Silverado and Equinox will be updated and detailed before going to dealer auction, unlike the featured vehicles from previous years. So if the Chevrolet Silverado and Equinox Showcased at Comerica Park catch your eye, head over to Graff Bay City and we can help you spring into the new season in style! Corvette to get 30 MPG with 8-Speed Transmission?

Corvette to get 30 MPG with 8-Speed Transmission?
BAY CITY, Mich.– Corvette and fuel efficiency aren't typically two things that you would associate in the same sentence. But times are a changin' and soon they may be synonymous because the 2015 Corvette Z06 could get 30 mpg with the new 8-speed transmission! Could the new transmission be the final piece to the puzzle facilitating fuel efficiency in Chevy performance vehicles?

According to General Motors in a recent report from the Society of Automotive Engineers, it is that final puzzle piece. GM is confident the 2015 Corvette Z06 8-speed transmission will get 30 mpg. With the current 6-speed, 30 mpg isn't far off and with two extra ratios the 8L90 eight speed transmission improves efficiency by up to 5 percent, which means an EPA-certified 30 mpg highway fuel efficiency rating could be a reality. Plus, the new unit is over eight pounds lighter than the outgoing six-speed, while being equivalent in size. Not to mention, it is capable of shifting 0.8 seconds quicker than the Porsche 911's dual-clutch transmission.

Convinced? The new 8-speed transmission will debut in the 2015 Corvette Z06, but even if a 'Vette isn't in the cards for you, it's possible we may see the standard 2016 model vehicles adopt the new unit! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706. Spring's Dangerous Driving Conditions

Spring's Dangerous Driving Conditions
BAY CITY, Mich.– The first official day of spring is behind us even though it still feels a bit like winter. Hopefully more spring-like weather will come our way soon, and as it does, it's important to remember that just because the roads will not be snow and ice covered, the new season presents some hazardous driving situations of its own. Stay safe this season by staying aware of spring's dangerous driving conditions.

Dangerous Spring Driving Conditions

-Rain, rain, go away. But before it does, it creates slippery roads and possible flooding. Wet pavement and road conditions drastically increase stopping distance and can reduce your vehicle's handling. Plus, as puddles grow, road flooding can hide potholes or cause you to hydroplane.

-Not only does spring bring rain, but occasionally it brings hail as well. Those little ice balls can not only cause damage to your vehicle, but they create dangerous driving conditions as well. So if possible, try to stay home until the storm passes.

-One hazardous spring driving condition that we're already experiencing, are the crazy potholes. This winter was especially rough, and after long months of ice, snow, salt, sand, and snow plows, the roads are falling apart. Keeping your eyes on the road ahead of you, can help you maneuver around the potholes if possible.

- As the weather warms, drivers must keep an eye out for even more distractions on the road. Not only are motorcyclists and bikers excited to hit the road when warm weather arrives, but animals become more active too as hibernation ends and mating season begins. So when making traffic maneuvers, be aware of motorcycles and bikes, and always keep an eye out for excited animals that are especially active during dawn and dusk.

This year especially, we're all excited to get outdoors and enjoy some nicer weather. Just make sure to stay safe on the road by avoiding spring's driving dangers. Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706. Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Wheel Slip

Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Wheel Slip
BAY CITY, Mich.– The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has been noted as the most track-capable Camaro in history, but arriving there wasn't a walk in the park for engineers. Producing a vehicle that was so capable and powerful resulted in some unexpected issues for engineers, but quick and creative solutions to problems like the Camaro Z/28's wheel slip allowed the Z/28 to come out on top!

The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28's wheel slip is actually a problem engineers encountered directly as a result of the performance car's power. The Chevy team selected only the best suppliers when designing the Z/28, including Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires and Brembo carbon-ceramic brake rotors. But the tire's intense traction and the brake's 1.5 g deceleration force were actually causing the wheels to rotate inside the tires!

To sort out the rotation problem, the team marked a chalk like on one of the tires relative to the valve system on the wheel before the car hit the track, then after taking a lap they realized the tire had rotated at least a full 360 degrees! So first they tested a racing technique to reduce the slippage: applying an abrasive paint around the bead of the wheel where the tire meets the rim. But found out that the paint wasn't strong enough! Needing much more texture, engineers tested and found success in media blasting: shooting a gritty material through an air gun at the wheel's surface to create texture in the paint for the wheel to grip.

The Camaro Z/28's wheel slip solution is just one example of the creative thinking used in developing the most track-capable Camaro ever. The best part is that the Z/28 will hit dealerships this spring, so you will have the chance to take one home soon! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706.
