BAY CITY, Mich-Hank Graff Chevrolet is proud to be holding Hidden Harvest food drive for 2012. Hidden Harvest is trying to make a difference for the poor
and hungry in our area. Their
mission statement:
HIDDEN HARVEST strives to alleviate
hunger and end food waste in the Bay, Midland and Saginaw region by providing a
safe and coordinated system of rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to
feed people in need.
The program, in addition to collecting food from donations, also rescues food from hotels, restaurants, wholesalers, bakeries, grocery stores, and other USDA approved sources, and delivers it directly to over 170 local agencies, free of charge! In order to help the needs of the hungry
during the Thanksgiving season, Hank Graff Chevrolet will start collecting any
non-perishable food donations beginning today all the way through December 9 at
the Bustle by the Bay. Keep in mind that Hidden Harvest also accepts monetary
donations as well!
