Chevy Has Previewed a Fancy New Key Fob for the 2016 Camaro

Chevy Has Previewed a Fancy New Key Fob for the 2016 Camaro

BAY CITY, Mich. - Chevrolet has been very fair with the amount of information given to the public regarding the all-new 2016 Chevy Camaro. However there is still plenty of information regarding the new muscle car that the auto-world still has yet to learn. Earlier this week, Chevy released just a few details about some accessories the automaker plans to offer for the new muscle car, but Chevy has previewed a fancy new key fob for the 2016 Camaro.

The fob pictured features the usual smattering of buttons like lock, unlock, and an alarm, yet it also includes controls for automatic trunk release and crucially, for convertible models, a button to automatically stow the top. Another thing we do know is that the key fob featured in the photo above, does belong to a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, however we aren’t privy to any other details like the model or trim of the Camaro it’s attached to.

Sure, a key fob won’t make or break a sale, but an original key (at least in the way it looks) is a constant reminder to drivers that they are behind the wheel of something special. That is of course, if the amount of horses underneath the hood doesn't already say that.

No matter what type of news the auto-world gets about the all-new Camaro, it will be exciting news! Chevy has previewed a fancy new key fob for the 2016 Camaro and when the new muscle car arrives to dealers this fall, feel free to stop by and take one for a test-drive! At your St. Charles Area Used Car Dealer, we have tons of Used Chevy Models AND New Chevy Models just waiting for you on our lot! General Motors Reveals The Sixth-Gen Camaro Convertible

General Motors Reveals The Sixth-Gen Camaro Convertible

BAY CITY, Mich. - This year the all-new Camaro made waves in the automotive world and competed for the top spot in its segment, which happened in a year that has witnessed the surge in popularity of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and 50th Anniversary Ford Mustang. Today, General Motors reveals the sixth-gen Camaro convertible that will go on sale early next year.

Todd Christensen, Camaro Marketing Manager states that, "The 2016 Camaro coupe will set the benchmark for the segment in terms of technology, performance and design. Adding the most sophisticated top in the segment brings another level of refinement."

The entirely electro-hydraulic power roof system features a unique multilayer construction designed for comfortable and quiet driving in all four seasons. When up, the roof is similar to the sleek styling silhouette of the coupe Camaro. Also similar to the Coupe, the Camaro convertible is 200 lbs lighter than previous Camaro models. From the start of its design, the sixth-generation Camaro was developed to incorporate the convertible without compromising driving dynamics. Drivers will appreciate what they feel as well as what they DON'T feel: quivers, cow shake or an under-damped chassis typically found in a four-seated convertible. The unique structure enables the top to fold down completely beneath the belt-line, and the hard cover automatically covers the folded top.

General Motors reveals the sixth-gen Camaro convertible, which will come in either the LT or SS trim levels, but will come with six different powertrain combinations. The car is leaner and has a stiffer platform that was meticulously tuned in a wind tunnel, which contributes to an ultimately better performance through better aerodynamics. This gives better handling while also enhancing fuel efficiency.

We cannot WAIT for the all-new 2016 sixth-generation Camaro convertible to roll into dealerships early next year. It will be THE perfect summer car for 2016. If you would like to browse our current inventory of 2015 Camaros, feel free to take a look! Chevy Brings The 2016 Camaro Home To Lansing

Chevy Brings The 2016 Camaro Home To Lansing

BAY CITY, Mich. - Michigan's capital city has a new resident as Chevy brings the 2016 Camaro home to Lansing. General Motors announced that the 2016 muscle car will be built in Lansing, and will bring 500 jobs and over $170 million dollars to the area. The fifth-generation Camaro is currently being built at a General Motors Plant in Ontario, but the all-new sixth-generation Camaro will be built in Michigan's capital city starting in November.

GM will invest $175 million dollars into the facility that will build the new Camaro to cover new equipment as well as new paint systems, including those for Camaro-only colors: Summit White, Bright Yellow and Red Hot. Currently, the Lansing plant also builds the Cadillac ATS and CTS models. The Mayor of Lansing said that the announcement makes him feel like the "luckiest mayor in America".

The Detroit-based automaker is investing over $2.5 billion dollars into upgrades for facilities around the U.S, which will take about 3 years to finish. Here in Michigan those plans include a $124 million dollar investment to the Pontiac Metal Center, $520 million dollars going for tooling and equipment at the Lansing Delta Township plant, and over $130 million towards a brand new body shop and stamping facility upgrades at Pre-Production Operations in Warren, Mich.

Chevy brings the 2016 Camaro home to Lansing after its summer cross-country promotional tour ends at the Los Angeles Auto Show in the fall. The all-new sixth-generation Camaro was revealed in Detroit last month, and since then has been going toe-to-toe against the 50th Anniversary Edition Mustang and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The 2016 Camaro will go on sale in the fourth quarter in 2015, and you can bet that Hank Graff Chevrolet will have the best inventory around! Meet The 2016 Sixth-Generation Chevy Camaro

Meet The 2016 Sixth-Generation Chevy Camaro

BAY CITY, Mich. – Get ready to meet the 2016 sixth-generation Chevy Camaro! General Motors looks like it has outfitted its new, 2016 sixth-generation Camaro to continue the epic battle between it and the Ford Mustang. A slightly smaller Camaro made its world reveal this past Saturday on Detroit's Belle Isle in front of 1000 fans, press and auto-insiders. The car looks like a fitter car than the one it's replacing yet retains the signature style with a 200 pound weight loss.

The new entry-level engine is now a 275-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo, which is the first ever for a Camaro. GM states that while the new Camaro is extremely powerful it will be good for over 30 mpg and a 0-60 mph in less than six seconds. The high performance Camaro SS is outfitted with a version of the same 6.2-liter V8 that debuted with the Corvette Stingray, which will push out 444-hp and 444lb-ft of torque. All engines come in either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

Both the V6 and V8 engines options will also be offered with exhausts that can bypass the mufflers during quick acceleration to amp up the volume. Chevy didn't limit the upgrades to just the exterior however, the interior cabin is also completely updated.  The automaker has been scrutinized in the past on the Camaro's interior but for the sixth-gen model includes higher-quality materials, an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system, and LED accent lighting with over 20 colors and a "car show" mode that cycles through all of the colors while the vehicle is in park.

Are you ready to meet the 2016 sixth-generation Chevy Camaro? Well, you'll have to wait a few months unfortunately because the new muscle car won't roll into dealers until later this fall. Camaro Gears Up For The Battle Against The Mustang

Camaro Gears Up For The Battle Against The Mustang
BAY CITY, Mich. – Woah! Shots fired as the Camaro gears up for battle against the Mustang. The 2016 Camaro isn’t even going to be revealed until May 16th on Belle Isle, but that doesn’t stop the back and forth between Ford and Chevy in regards to the Camaro vs. the Mustang. Everyone in the automobile community is eager to see what the next-gen Camaro brings to the table, and how it stacks up against its newly revised rival, the Ford Mustang.

Mark Reuss, GM’s President, stated to Fox News; “I’m very confident. Very confident,” in regards to how the new Camaro will compete with the new Mustang. Reuss also explained that he had driven both cars back to back the week prior, and the enhancements left him quite content that Chevy is well equipped in the pony car wars.  Camaro gears up for the battle against the Mustang, and from what we know now the latest Camaro switched from a full-sized Holden developed Zeta platform to the Alpha platform that the Cadillac CTS and ATS ride on. GM has also opted to infuse more aluminum into the next-gen Camaro, resulting in the new model being 200 pounds lighter.

The all-new 2016 Camaro is expected to bring in a 6.2 liter V8, the same engine that powers the Corvette Stingray. The Camaro will hit with 460 horsepower while, the current Mustang’s 5.0-liter V-8 puts out 435 horsepower. It will definitely be the battle of American muscle once the new Camaro comes out, and we CANNOT wait to see it!
