BAY CITY, Mich.- We saw the updated 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS and Z/28 at the New York Auto Show, but what about the rest of the lineup? The latest 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Spy Shots give us a better idea of what to expect for the 1LE, ZL1, and RS models, revealing some updated and some current features.
The 2014 Chevy Camaro 1LE looks like it will keep its current blacked-out hood and matte-black rear spoiler, but will adopt some of the new features that debuted on the Camaro SS like the revised lower front fascia, hood vent, and slim grille. As far as power, we expect the 2014 Camaro 1LE to keep its 426 HP 6.2-liter V8 engine.
The 2014 Chevy Camaro ZL1, however, won't receive the updated front end since Chevrolet felt that changing the front fascia could have caused issues related to the packaging of its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine and would have required too much extra work to improve aerodynamics. But, the 2014 Camaro ZL1 will receive the new CHMSL lights above the license plate area and on top of the trunk lid.
Last but not least, the 2014 Camaro RS prototype loses the SS' hood vent but adds two more exhaust outlets, amping up the curb appeal with 4 exhaust outlets. Keeping the same bold five-spoke wheels, the RS fog light trim appears to be much more simpler that that on the more powerful models.
Chevrolet's muscle car lineup will be getting some updates for 2014 as we can see in the latest Chevrolet Camaro Spy Shots! 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Review & Images

Hit the gas and you'll feel it all, power, precision and control. The all-aluminum 6.2L supercharged engine and its 580 horsepower and 556 lb.-ft. of torque jet from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. Not to mention the ZL1 comes fully equipped with factory-integrated auxiliary fluid coolers to keep your engine cool. The Magnetic Ride Control will keep your wheels responsive and in control under all that power.
2013 Camaro ZL1 Design Review:
There's more than meets the eye with the new Camaro ZL1. The aggressive styling actually enhances the overall dynamics of the vehicle, for optimal grip and control, improved cooling and aerodynamic efficiency. Sink in to the driver's seat and melt in to the sueded microfiber seats, accents and optional steering wheel wrap. And for the true race car driver at heart, revised pedals and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 -2012 World Performance Car Finalist

![]() |
The 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 zips around the track with exceptional speed and handling capabilities |
This list will be narrowed down even further this month.
Members will have a chance to rate each car based on overall merit, value,
safety, environmental responsibility, emotional appeal, and significance. The
winner will be announced on Thursday April 21st at the New York
International Auto Show.

The powerhouse of the ZL1 Camaro |
Here’s what the Chevy Camaro ZL1 is bringing to the table:
·
6.2L Gen
IV V-8 Small Super Charged Block
·
580 Horse Power at 6000 RPM
·
556 lbs. of torque at 4200 RPM
·
19 MPG highway
The Chevy ZL-1 will be the first car in North America to
come equipped with the latest generation of Magnetic Ride Control. The
Magneto-Rheological Shocks use magnetorheological fluid for dampening levels up
to 1,000 times per second. This makes the system exceptionally responsive and
provides better wheel control on rough roads like Ridge Road, Johnson Street,
and Trumbull Avenue, and challenging race tracks by dramatically reducing
heave, pitch, and roll.
The Camaro has always been a symbol of the classic American
muscle car and the latest generation features a design bold enough to land
itself a role in the Transformers movie series as seen at the Goodrich Bay City 8 Theater. The
Chevy Camaro ZL1 comes with an MSRP starting at $54,095, a much more affordable
price tag than the other European contenders.
