The 2016 version of the sports car has been spotted out and about around Detroit while undergoing testing near GM's headquarters, and the people at Top Speed have done a great job rendering the 2016 Chevy Camaro from those sightings. While there is definitely still a 1967-69 influence, and none of the changes appear too drastic, some minor updates will add to a design that is lighter, sleeker, and more dynamic. Better proportions, a cleaner shape, and a small-block exhaust note will all ride on GM's Alpha platform. However, details on where the car's power will come from are still unknown. But if the Camaro SS 1LE and Z/28 tell us anything, the 2016 Camaro will be nothing short of impressive and is expected to offer seven-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmission options.
A main driver in sticking with the current model's '67-'69 influence is the car's first place standing in its segment and continued sales success. Only time will tell if this 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Rendering is the real deal, so stay tuned for more updates!
