2016 Chevrolet Equinox is First Vehicle to Adopt Corvette Design Cues

BAY CITY, Mich. – So you may have heard that Chevrolet recently debuted an updated version of the Equinox crossover. But do you remember back when the automaker announced that subtle design inspirations from the halo C7 Corvette Stingray would be integrated into the new 2016 Chevy lineup? Well, it's happening people!! The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox is the first vehicle to adopt Corvette design cues!

Riding on the success of the impressive new Corvette, Chevrolet has begun influencing the design of the brand's new lineup, beginning with adaptations of the vehicle’s tail lamps. It is these new tail lamps that inspire the personality of the updated 2016 Chevrolet Equinox! What's so great about these new tail lamps are the aura and character they bring to the Equinox crossover. These lamps are key to the start of Chevy's new persona, and have been coined the "Chevy-signature dual-element."

The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox is the first vehicle to adopt Corvette design cues, and in more than just its taillights. An aggressive-styled hood is another addition to the new Equinox that will also begin to appear on several other bowtie models. Ed Welburn of General Motors said that the upcoming Chevy Malibu and Cruze will be the next to receive the subtle changes that link back to the C7 Corvette design. It will truly be exciting and refreshing to see these impressive Stingray inspired features on the full Chevy lineup!
