BAY CITY, Mich.- As Chevrolet approaches year-end the awards keep rolling in, and it doesn't look like they are going to stop anytime soon! The latest acknowledgement for the automaker comes from Automotive and Business Fleet Magazine who named the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Fleet Truck of the Year for 2013!
While all of Chevy's recent awards are an honor, the 2013 Fleet Truck of the Year award is especially rewarding because it confirms the Chevrolet Silverado is still the most dependable and longest lasting truck in the marketplace, even after its redesign this year. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was named 2013 Fleet Truck of the Year by qualified fleet managers who reviewed all industry segments and sizes before making their final decision. Of the 36 trucks evaluated this year, the Silverado received the most votes proving that fleets took notice of the truck's updates.
The updated 2014 Silverado 1500 definitely earned the Fleet Truck of the Year title with its work-ready features that make it the ideal truck for any job site. In an effort to make the workload easier for fleets, the 2014 Silverado 1500 comes equipped with a CornerStep bumper paired with built-in box rail handholds, upper tie-down hooks, under-rail LED lighting, and an EZ Lift/Lower tailgate to make the box more user-friendly.
But that's not the only reason the Chevy Silverado was named Fleet Truck of the Year. The truck also offers best-in-class towing, the highest rating of any standard V6, and impressive fuel efficiency which impacts fleet customer's bottom line!
