The All-New 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid LT

BAY CITY, Mich. – There’s a new Chevy on the block that everyone is raving about! The 2016 Chevy Malibu is getting a lot of attention and there’s a good reason why. Here’s what you need to know about the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid LT.

First off, GM has estimated that the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid LT will get 48 mpg city, 45 mpg highway, and 47 mpg overall. If that’s not enough of a reason to want this vehicle, we're not sure what is!

The Malibu Hybrid has a slightly altered drive unit and electric motor that is also used in the 2016 Chevrolet Volt. The modified technology lets Chevrolet deliver a world-class hybrid with the expertise they have already used in the Volt.

Other features you’ll find in the Malibu Hybrid include:

• 7 inch diagonal color touch screen

• Apple CarPlay & Andriod Auto capability

•  Rear view camera

• Push-button start 

• Passive entry

• Anew Ecotec 1.8L hybrid optimized direct-injected engine

There are plenty of safety features that are offered in the Malibu Hybrid as well which include:

• Lane Keep Assist

• Front Pedestrian Braking

• Low Speed Front Automatic Braking

• Teen Driver 

Most of these safety features are new to the Malibu. If you have a new driver on your hands you might want to take advantage of the Teen Driver feature. Available in all Malibu models, Teen Driver encourages safe driving habits. The audio will mute in the vehicle if any front-seat passengers are not wearing a seat belt. It's also the very first in-vehicle system that allows parents to view information on how their teen is driving.
